Amber is technically not a gemstone, but hardened resin of particular ancient trees that have been fossilised over millennia due to this you'll often see inclusions which are formed by plant or animal materials that have stuck in the sticky resin when produced on the tree. Amber has a long rich history, for example it was considered in Asian cultures as the "soul of the tiger" and regarded the stone of courage by them whereas the Greeks believed to be pieces of the sun that had broken off as the sun fell into the sea each night.
