The Arachne Ring

Say hello to the Arachne (uh - rak - nee) Ring, the Greek translation of "Spider".

Inspired by the Myth of Arachne in Greek mythology; The story tells a tale of a beautiful Lydian woman with great talent of weaving, who boasted about her skills greatly, became the source of jealousy and contempt by the Goddess of Weaving, Athena. To show off her power, Athena turned Arachne into a spider proclaiming that Arachne and all her descendants would hang forever from threads and be skilful weavers.

Although it may be said that both Athena and Arachne were in the wrong for their actions, we believe this is a valuable lesson for working together, having self love, security and confidence in one's self. This beautiful Silver Sterling Wishbone ring, is paired with Spiderweb Obsidian; A stone which is considered to be incredibly grounding, encourages you to keep an open mind and protects one from negativity. This stone, is adorned with twisted wire made from Fine Silver.

This ring is handmade to order from Sterling Silver (.925) and Fine Silver (.999), therefore may take up to 4 weeks to be made and sent out. Each one is completely unique therefore there may be slight differences in the one you receive compared to the display images, especially within the inclusions in the gemstone due to natural variations.
